Now offering online saxophone lessons beginning September 2020!
Jacob is currently completing his jazz saxophone degree (remotely) from McGill University’s Schulich School of Music in Montreal, QC, and is available for private instruction. This includes private saxophone lessons, music theory, ear training, beginner piano, and/or improvisation instruction. Whether you are a complete beginner or a more advanced student, Jacob possesses the skills required to take your musicianship to the next level. He has experience teaching students of all ages and skill levels. Monthly students are given individualized practice plans and reports to keep track of their progress. Relevant resources will be shared with the student digitally via cloud sharing services.
Online lessons are preferred, but in person lessons are available for those in Edmonton. To comply with AHS guidelines and to ensure the safety of all, necessary precautionary measures have been taken. This includes:
The installation of a plexiglas barrier between the student and teacher
Mandatory physical distancing between the student and teacher (standing at least one meter away from either side of the barrier)
Mandatory use of hand sanitizer (provided) prior to all lessons
Direct and limited access to the space in which the lessons will take place
The space will also be cleaned thoroughly between students; this includes any surfaces such as music stands, desks, plexiglass barriers, walls, etc. (Given this precaution, please allow for 15 minutes between consecutive lessons.)
A limited number of students will be accepted on a first-come first-serve basis
Lessons start at $25/30 minutes or $40/hour.
